Motivation and Personal Development Skills Program (MPDSP)
MPDSPIn the effort to build capacity, sensitize and prevent HIV/AIDS and STDS among age group 15-30, KCCC employs a motivation and personal development skills curriculum which equips young people with personal development skills such as self esteem, self awareness, making personal life goals among others so as to help them make responsible and informed decisions in the face of HIV and AIDS and poverty and tap opportunities around them in the community. Young people are trained to become community change agents, resource persons and contact persons on matters of sexual reproductive health in communities where they live. The youth program also forms peer support clubs that provide a forum where young people discuss issues of HIV/AIDS/STDs and sexual reproductive health together with the trained KCCC peer educators during outreach sessions.MPDSP

The youth program also has a comprehensive community and school outreach program covering parishes surrounding and including Kampala, the capital. The educators conduct behaviour change programs in schools and in the community targeting in and out of school young people. These interventions aim at equipping young people with timely information about HIV/AIDS prevention, avoid drug abuse and unplanned early pregnancies among other.
