About Us

Kamwokya Christian Caring Community (KCCC) is a faith and community-based Non-Governmental Organization established in 1987 by the Small Basic Christian Communities (locally known as Bubondos), with the support of Sr. Dr. Miriam Duggan and other Franciscan Missionary Sisters for Africa.

Our original home base was the impoverished and low-resource area of Kamwokya Parish in Kampala District in Uganda. We have gradually extended our work into similar surrounding areas.

The core values of our members and staff reflect the belief that serving and caring with love and compassion nurtures the spirituality that is the true foundation of quality service and sustainable independence.

At the community level, KCCC seeks to strengthen its relationships with various stakeholders such as local councilors, religious leaders and the general population in order to identify community needs, concerns, remedies and opportunities. KCCC believes in establishing community support networks which include volunteer youth counselors, community health workers and promoters of youth and children ("peer promoters") who closely monitor the various project activities and report to their supervisors.

KCCC maintains strong partnerships with organizations such as FIDA, LEGAL AID UGANDA, UWONET, HURINET, Ugandan Ministry Of Gender, Labour and Social Development( MOGLSD). With these groups KCCC coordinates professional support for human rights-related trainings and information sharing.

Monitoring and Evaluation is an on going activity through out each financial year in each department. We systematically keep track through meetings, quarterly reports, steering committee sessions, annual reports, registered records, work plans, and with accountability for resources (including equipment, facilities, assets, and activities).
