Health Care


Our program seeks to address the health and psychosocial needs of individuals and families, particularly the poor and those affected by HIV/AIDS, STD's and Malaria. In all, 12,326 general patients have been treated at our health centers.

We maintain a Primary Health Clinic open to all community members six days a week.

As of June 2006, KCCC Primary Health Services has provided:

• ARVs to 952 people (4 children, 290 male adults and 658 female adults)
• TB treatment and management services to 597 people (297 female adults, 267 male adults, 37 children)
• 7,560 Opportunistic Infection (AIDS related) home-visits to bed-ridden patients (70% female, 27% male, 3% children)

We also regularly provide immunizations for children.

Crucial complementary program activities include:

• Counseling, testing and diagnosis of diseases
• Home-based care for families affected and infected with HIV/AIDS
• TB treatment and management
• Provision of ARVs
• Malaria prevention and treatment
• Training community-based health workers
• Sensitization of the community about sanitation, hygiene, environmental and family health
